Mushrooms are just as powerful in skincare as they are in food. Often times people view natural products as being less active or powerful. This is not true at all, especially not when mushrooms are involved!

The cleansing balm, daily cleanser, exfoliator and toner all include shiitake, agaricus blazei and tremella. These 3 mushrooms are used for antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties to prevent acne breakouts. The Tremella keeps the skin soft and hydrated after use and prevents that dry or tight feeling that can occur after cleansing the skin.

The serum, moisturiser and face mask contain 8 powerful mushrooms including Reishi, Chaga, Shiitake, Lions Mane, Turkey Tail, Cordyceps, Agaricus Blazei and Tremella.

Reishi is an androgen, it prevents testosterone from being converted to DHT (which is 5x as strong) helping to reduce hormonal breakouts particularly around the chin and jawline areas.

Chaga is a powerful antioxidant which can protect the skin from the environment preserving it's even tone and youthful texure.

Shiitake helps to stimulate collagen production which is great for both anti-ageing and the repairal of pitted acne scarring. It also contains kojic acid which is commonly used to even pigmentation and coloured scarring.

Lions Mane is an anti-inflammatory containing wound healing properties and is also an androgen (balances hormones). It also contains zinc so it's a fantastic mushroom for clearing acne.

Turkey Tail mushroom contains quercetin which helps to reduce puffiness, it is fantastic to use around the eye area.

​

Cordyceps is rich in beta glucans which help to prevent cell damage, soothe redness, plump and hydrate the skin and reduce signs of ageing.

​

Agaricus Blazei is antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal so is great at keeping the skin clean and protected.

Tremella is a powerful hydrator, it is a competitor of hyaluronic acid since it works in a very similar way by retaining a huge amount of water. It is a much smaller molecule than hyaluronic acid allowing it to travel deeper into the skin. Tremella leaves a glossy coating on the skin to achieve that dewy look without oil.

This range is suitable for all skin types since mushrooms are so versatile and all encompassing. This range is oil free with the exception of the face balm which is aloe butter and jojoba oil based to avoid clogging pores. The moisturizer is aloe vera based, it is thicker and softer than most due to the tremella thickening it up. For those with very dry skin or those who enjoy the texture of oil, a light amount of balm can be mixed with the product to create a richer texture.
